Obama win earns modest optimism from Canadian economists
Shutting down the Keystone pipeline means that oil earmarked for the U.S. will now be going to Asia. The pipeline is in the works to ship everything to the west coast right now. Even if Obama approved the Keystone today the oil has been sold forward to Asian markets.
