I agree, but if we did the accounting correctly of what their internal economy is really worth, they have likely passed us already. The problem is we don't think a yard of concrete or a ton of rebar used in a building in China is worth anything near what it would be in the USA. No doubt due to American Exceptionalism. IMHO, the best therapy for Republicans doing some soul searching after this election would be a 1 week vacation in China. It would be more transformational than anything else they could do.
