Romney did so great in the first debate that he didn't want to rock the boat.

It reminds me of a boxing match between Oscar de la Hoya and Felix Trinidad. Oscar was very strong in the early rounds. I am sure that he knew that he was ahead going into the middle rounds. I felt that he was stronger in the middle rounds, but Trinidad was awarded a couple of rounds. In the last four rounds, Oscar danced around and kept out of Trinidad's reach. He fought safe because he was sure that his work in the early rounds guaranteed him the decision.

Trinidad got the majority decision. The judges didn't like when Oscar avoided fighting in the last four rounds.
