Either do little or nothing on the deficit and become Greece-like or seriously address the deficit which would have short term negative consequences on the economy (but strenghten us for the long term). 2. Potential Iran war - especially if it drags out (either via long term ground engagement or Iran terrorist counterattacks) The market doubled under Obama's first term. It would be ironic if it gives it all back during his second term. As someone who has weathered both economic and, more recently, physical storms, I offer the following: stay safe.
