The color code on that map is wrong. Most of the red states get more government funds than they pay in income tax. Primarily because they tend to be poor. Texas is about the only exception, despite having some large military bases. Sounds like your takers to me. The blue states tend to pay more in income tax than they get in federal funds. Sounds like makers doesn't it?.

In addition, to get anywhere close to 50% you have to include students, the retired, the disabled and active duty military. While I suppose you could label the disabled as moochers, that seems rather harsh. Besides, they are called disabled because they are unable to do many normal tasks associated with work. If we don't euthanize them, what do we do with them? Have them bankrupt their families? That just kicks the can down the road. What happens to them then? Students, well an educated population is what we need. The retired? I guess they are moochers too. Active duty military? Are you serious?
