We just saw two presidential candidates run for office in which the the total spend was a billion each.

Obama won it without ever laying out a substantive agenda -- based solely on negative attacks on his opponent and changing his "core" positions with respect to selected constituencies. No meaningful agenda and the worst track record of any candidate in modern times.

I don't think you're going to see many poor people running for office in the future.
