As the post Lindy put up stated, the evangelicals didn't turn out as strongly for Bush in 2004 as in 2008 (the evangelical gap) because of the DUI allegations right before the 2004 election day. There is potentially the same evangelical gap in the numbers for Romney because he's Mormon.
