Your kids are totally screwed, because of your vote for authoritarian and bankrupt government. California and Greece are what your kids have to look forward to. It is bleak. They will have less freedom and a MUCH lower standard of living. If they are weak little sissies like you, they may even become prey for those seeking what they need to live. Mostly, your kids are screwed for having a parent that cares so little about their future like you.
