I'm watching Colossus, for a good price, CSI has a high grade gold field, but the managers are fleeing. Not a good omen, unless they're incompetent managers. We used to say managers were a nickel a dozen, and we'd focus on the qualifications and expertise of the professionals accomplishing the work, in this case the geologist and financial planners. I'd guess ~ if the gold ore is high grade that operating costs / oz will be favorable, and that's something management can't totally screw up.

On the other hand, really high grade managers can't off-set low grade ore. I assume Sandstorm provided due diligence on CSI's gold operations, business model, and corporate expertise. Based on that I've done well buying Luna Gold - LGC , Brigus Gold - BRD, and so, so in Silvercrest SVL.
