Of course, there was private money available with a govt guarantee .. or explain how Obama's guarantees to his cronies green energy companies attracted money.

If a govt guarantee can bring in funds for something that is a sure failure, it would have brought in money for GM & Chrysler.

You're still conflating two companies w/ the entire industry.
