I still think Romney was a better candidate than Newt, for all the reasons I stated months ago. That said, we did send Newt money several times during those months. I do think he could win every argument/debate that was ever held.....but being President every day, is far different than winning whatever debate.

I had hoped Newt would be in some position of importance and visibility in a new Cabinet or other office.

I dislike his wife as she always wants to be front and center in every conversation or picture, or it seems to me that way anyway.....Romney's wife Ann and their entire family, on the other hand, were able and capable during the campaign....I had hoped they would bring some sanity back to the WH and the public stage.

Romney made some mistakes.....one was he didn't let the public know his truth when he had just been lied about.....He seems to be the "turn the other cheek" kind of guy...That's great in a friend....but the President has to be a good deal tougher than that.

When Obama won, I was definitely sad, but after awhile, willing to listen to what he had to say. I was turned off before the election when I read his first book, "Dreams of My Father".....If you read it, you'll know what I mean. However, it didn't take too long for all my (and all of our) fears about Obama started to actually happen.....choices he made, lies he told, and agenda he was advancing. We watched to see who his visitors were....(if we could get the media to tell us).... The last straw for me was his bowing to all other leaders, and his treatment of Netanyahu the first time he came to see Obama..... Obama proved what an arrogant, ignorant, selfcentered man he was then...and has gone on nearly every week, to prove that again and again.

The reason Romney lost was that he and his team weren't sensitive enough to know he was in a war. Nice guys finish last, as they say.
