If they select married men, they are getting 2 women having selected the bloke as being intelligent enough for breeding purposes, not just depending on their own analysis. It's like a free second opinion in medical treatment. Many women do use that strategy.

I'd have to see the numbers on employment, intelligence and breeding to form a good opinion on that aspect. I dare say women who select among the unemployed use the usual "this one is a lot more intelligent than that lot" analysis. So they are busy with their eugenics too.

Unemployment is a government programme. If there was no dole and no minimum pay, there would be no unemployment. People would get a job, any job. They have to eat. Women can't be expected to worry about the government's unemployment schemes. Women just get on with their eugenics programme and ignore the government.
