He associated people who would not vote for him with folks who are on SS or are in the military, or any number of other people who for legitimate reason don't pay income taxes...and many of them DO vote for him. DO you understand?

The comment hurt him badly and was certainly a turning point in the election as it gave credence in the eyes of many to the lying claims by the Obama campaign.

However, there was no inconsistency in his remarks, IMO. He made no reference to either SS or the military; however, it is a fact that SS/MC recipients, collectively, are part of the public dole and part of the 47% who wouldn't vote for him. There are many people on SS and Medicare who recognize it is a problem and would support fixing it.

His sentiment was precisely correct. As I've tried for some years to explain to you, these programs are flat broke, beyond broke, and the looming problems with them are dragging down our economy today, and the problems will grow substantially each year until someone has the balls and the political clout to solve them. Romney came close to getting past the politics, but didn't get it done. And it is a tragedy for the country, as Obama is going to do his second four years without touching the biggest problems the country has, the impending collapse of SS & MC.

Your party has reached a cynical critical point where y'all shoot wildly and without consideration for truth or accuracy. The only clear thing that comes through is the cynicism...and who likes that other than the cynical base?

I'm not sure which "party" you think is "my party", but I can assure you I have no "party" affiliation or even a mild party commitment at this point. I think anyone who blindly follows one party or the other is stupid.
