A battle resembling a fight among the three stooges!

>One problem with a stock like this is when you have shorts with a memory of doing well by shorting the stock, they stick around. They post about how poorly the stock has done for longs, and the past dilutions, etc. Of course they are predicting more dilution. The longs are enthusiastic for the company turning the corner very soon on profitability. <

That describes the usual attitudes well. And the key facts – if any – are lost in the melee. So:

>This indicates the price will be volatile for the time being.<

That is why I have restricted this MB to discussing the long term investment prospects for BSDM. In my carefully researched opinion, both the basic facts of the technology and the present marketing for the hottest product are overwhelmingly positive, re the long term. The short-term trading game is not controlled by the fundamental facts – and frequently is not even an honest or sane activity. Whatever “sanity” was once offered by such as chart reading, it is IMO now largely lost – due to numerous and powerful computerized manipulations. This is not to say that technical analysis does not sometimes “predict” short-term stock movements – it is more a claim that such correlation is due to “self-fulfilling” forecasts. If many believe that a given feature on a stock chart (or the equivalent in a computer program) means, say, an upward movement is due, then it is likely many will buy – causing the “prediction” to be self-fulfilled. In contrast, my commentary about BSD M is based on fundamental facts about the company, products, and markets and relate to a long term view.

>I have learned not to make big bets on story stocks. Every now and then I check in on how STAA is doing, which was and is a medical story stock for a long time that I exited after a few years of it being moribund (it still is). A good story, but never went anywhere. Best to spread small bets on a few and every now and then one pops up in price and rewards you more than enough to make up for the losers and laggards. <

I concur, as a generality. But, the “story” for BSD M is VERY compelling. And, I think the story has changed from “mystery” to “solidly game changing”. Of course, such a view calls for much in the way of facts and analysis – thus the heavy tone of this MB.

Thanks for your interest and comments. Be sure to read BSD Medical’s 10K and ensuing discussion on 12 Nov (the target date).
