Romney's lack of "likeability" was due to two things:

a) The vicious, lying campaign Obama ran which, IMO, was the worst in our history -- even worse than the campaign of 1800, and....etc...etc..

Dude, Romney's likeability problem bloomed during the primary, when his own party opponents bashed him mercilessly...that's the extreme wing problem I described earlier...it's what drove romney to say some of the nuttiest things he said, to take some of the extreme positions he took and to issue the reversals from his positions as MA governor and/or as senate candidate...self deportation, severely conservative, prolife to kill roe v wade, and so on...c'mon man, you are not seeing things very clearly.
