It is the second biggest reason we are going bankrupt. Probably the first is the below trend growth in the economy and employment going on twelve years . Yet the GOP says we need the Bush tax cuts to continue which is another waste as trickle down economics worked only during the Reagan years after over four decades post great depression from FDR to LBJ expanded liberalism and wealth redistribution from the prior robber barons a bit too far. On Medicare something needs to be done about 'medical terrorists' .For example we spend a fortune on unnecessary open heart surgeries for seniors.. All about the green in the end and that starts with the MIC and oil cartel
