I was a Dell customer and, like you, never had any problem until I bought a new one with Vista.

It was constant problems and I soon found out that their warranty "service" is fine as long as you never have any MAJOR need for it.

If you do, you soon find out they lied when they said they would "come to your house."

The best they do for you is a long nightmare on the phone trying to understand someone who speaks little English.

They even went so far as to try to charge me for talking me through wiping my computer back to factory and reloading it -- after days on the phone and finding out that's what it would take.

When I protested and told them I had already paid for the long-term warranty, they grudgingly said they would walk me through it once.

How big of them! I don't buy Dell products anymore -- never will.
