Yawn... Not at all.. Just business as usual. Plenty of legal schemes to allow the 1% to avoid the extra tax altogether, while, there is no way to avoid the Sales Tax increase by the masses. Unless you shop in a neighboring state.

The higher Sales Tax, to a great degree, also taxes the underground economy.

Personally, 95% of my income is recognized in Florida, which is denoted as my "residence", while I spend time between our house on Marco Island, and houses which reside in trusts in Del Mar, CA and Maui.

I voted in FL, so I could not vote on Prop. 30. I just find it humorous that the liberals are all clapping at the "tax the rich guys", while their own pockets are getting picked by the lawmakers....
