I have been using it for about 3 years without any problems.
When you log in you will need to create a last pass password. I suggest making this password a strong one. If not all your passwords could possibly be compromised.

I just went to edit my password and got the following alert.

IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR NEW LASTPASS PASSWORD.
To protect your privacy and keep your data confidential,
we DO NOT know what your LastPass password is.
We also DO NOT keep a copy or backup of it.
