I heard yesterday that the St Lucie county has declared murphy the winner...of course mad west may sue, but the margin of victory is outside the automatic recount range. West claims he was leading by some 1800 votes at 1AM in the morning. At that point the elections commissioner of St Lucie County decided to RECOUNT the early votes in that county. The recount was completed by about 1:30AM and at that point West was losing by about 2400 votes. Sounds fishy to me. Apparently, a second recount of the early votes was ordered but the commissioner only counted about half and then stopped. This partial second recount gave West about 500 more votes......but just not quite enough to compel a total recount. An independent person needs to REPLACE this St. Lucie commissioner and a TOTAL RECOUNT of all early votes needs to be done.
