The Republicans will cave in the end and the rates for $250,000+ earners will increase. In return the Republicans will get a commitment to begin talking about entitlement reform which means absolutely nothing. will be done on the real cliff we are facing. Eventually the bond market will have had enough and .interest rates will soar if there are any takers at all for our bonds. By then, it will be too late and I see a total collapse of our economy. Obama will do everything he can (continue printing Billions every month)) to put the collapse off until after his second term. I doubt the bond market will accommodate that long. Recall that 4-5 years ago, Greece was able to sell their bonds at reasonable rates. Look now. Even Spain 10 yr bonds are near 6%
