Headline: Caribbean Cigar (NASDAQ:CIGR) target of lawsuit

NEW YORK, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Caribbean Cigar Co is the
target of a class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern District of Florida, plaintiff attorneys
said Tuesday.
In a press release, law firm Abbey, Gardy & Squitieri LLP
said it filed the suit on behalf of all purchasers of Caribbean
Cigar common stock between August 14, 1997 and November 14,
1997.
According to the attorneys, the complaint charges the
company and certain of its officers and directors with
violations of federal securities laws.
The plaintiff claims that the defendants issued a series of
materially false and misleading statements regarding the
company's financial condition and results of operations.
