The time frame given was the year 2000, so there is plenty of time
to build new fabs if they want.

Now, maybe they will convert memory fabs, maybe they won't,
I don't know. All I am saying is that, contrary to what
has been reported here, neither LG [nor Samsung] has announced
they are abandoning the memory market, and there is no
reason at this time to believe that they are. At least,
from what I have read in the LG report.
