I think Doran meant fiscal cliff in the sense if fear for the economy, not selling in anticipation of tax increases.
I think there will be uncertainty until something is finally banged out in Washington. They may even do a little kick the can down the road again. I am not worried about the Fiscal Cliff bringing down the economy since it would be political suicide to any politician that was seen as letting it happen.

And, there are many components to what everyone is just calling the Fiscal Cliff. But, I think there is a direct effect on Apple with the part of it that is the capital gains tax increase. And this one looks like it will remain in some form or another.
