I know a guy making minimum wage at a nearby convenience store, just bought a new car.
Sounds like minimum wage is just fine, if he can afford to buy a car on it.

The truth is that minimum wage was never meant to provide a "living wage." All it's meant to do is set a floor. All other hourly wages are then set accordingly.
