It is nothing more than a logical fallacy to blindly assume that government actually PRODUCES anything. Adam Smith, two centuries ago, explained this with some clarity when he talked about labor, not money, representing the product of the nation. Even corn, as he pointed out, was a better metric than gold or silver. It is just a total misunderstanding on the part of the Keynesian left as to what actual production is about. It isn't about just spending money for the hell of it; it is about spending money in such a way that it causes productivity.
