>> He is very knowledgeable on the process/ chemistry/ technical aspects of P2O. Do you think that he does not know what he is talking about? If so, can you state one example of that? <<

His number favorite claim is that free plastic has elemental oxygen and pyrolysis of PET plastic creates oxygen. He's been a brain dead idiot on that.

"The mixed, unsortable plastic that costs very little and which is generally only used to burn contains a very large amount of PET (like pop and water bottles) and films. Since both contain significant oxygen, at least 25% in total, the output will also contain that.
I am calling Mr. Bordynuik a liar straight up and I have basic chemistry rules to back me up. It's not libel if it's true. It's as simple as that." ~~PP, May 31, 2010

Reality:

"The main gases produced from the individual plastics were hydrogen, methane, ethane, ethene, propane, propene, butane, and butene and for the PET plastic carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide."
"...PS and PET, which have aromatic groups in their structures, also showed a more aromatic composition."

"The use of calcium carbonate carbon composite (Ca-C) completely removed the chlorine and bromine content from the liquid products during PP/PE/PS/PVC/HIPS-Br pyrolysis, however in the presence of PET, the catalytic experiment (Ca-C, 8 g) yielded liquid products containing 310 ppm of Br and 20 ppm of Cl. In addition, the Ca-C increased the yield of liquid products about 3–6 wt.%, as well as enhanced the gaseous product evolution and decreased the yield of residue. The halogen free liquid hydrocarbons can be used as a feedstock in a refinery or as a fuel."
