Clinton gave in to the Republicans. Dropped health care reform, worked with Republicans to balance the budget and reform welfare, refused to send the Kyoto treaty to the Senate, didn't resurrent any of Carter's stupid green energy programs, gave oil companies royalty relief to encourage them to drill in deeper waters in the GOM, began the policy of rendition of terrorists, enacted DADT, signed DOMA, and pushed for free trade agreements over union opposition ... and then after he left the Presidency, he supported the Iraq invasion. IOW Clinton pissed on liberals and liberal policies and they love and revere him for it. Obama would be smart to do the same but he's too much of an idealogue.
