Take a look at the irradiation stocks today. Almost doubling on news of FDA approval. It's absolutely amazing. It wasn't that long ago that OZON was up over 60% in one day on anticipation of the ABC News piece. I can hardly wait for that first food contract announcement. The stock will really move then. But I will be watching the irradiation stocks here to see if they can follow through on the upside or more likely pullback on this expected news soon. Ozone decontamination has far too many advantages in comparison to any existing or newly approved techniques. Our day will come. I think that's why our stock hasn't sold off anymore than it has. Here is one story about an irradiation stock:
MIAMI (Dow Jones)--The Food and Drug Administration Tuesday approved the treatment of meat products with radiation to kill disease-causing bacteria.
The process, called irradiation, applies to fresh and frozen red meat such as beef, lamb and pork.
"Irradiation of meat could prove to be another important tool to protect consumers from food-borne disease," said Michael A. Friedman, lead deputy FDA commissioner. "The process has been shown to be safe and to significantly reduce bacterial contamination."
Shares of tiny Food Technology Services Inc., one of a handful of companies that uses irradiation on poultry, produce and spices, surged 4 1/16, or 78.3%, to 9 1/4. Nasdaq volume was 330,800 shares, compared with a daily average of 99,600. |
