Richard: Steve is absolutely right. There is very little written on actual daytrading of stocks.Most of it applies to futures and options. I imagine it is because of the limitations on capital that can be managed using this technique. I would also suggest there will be more written on this topic in the future as the age of the online individual trader becomes more prevalent.

Hit And Run Trading by Jeff Cooper favours the "selling before the close " strategy, but he is not clear cut on the idea.
