PUGS: A trade is a trade. Makes no difference if it's a Canadian short sale or a regular sale. The chart reflects price change and volume traded. The price change of the market makers usually reflects demand and supply at that moment. If in order to meet a buy demand the MM shorts stock he tries to protect himself by lowering the bid hoping to catch some sucker off guard with a market sell order. Naturally if sellers start to appear he also drops his bid to keep from getting hung up with high priced inventory and at the same time you may see the offering price rise again hoping to catch a long market order at a disadvantage. Then in a more active situation you need to watch the soes bandits as they try to screw everyone.

What the longs need here is some real news that you can sink your teeth into. I could be wrong but so far all I see are dangling carrot sticks. Another puzzle is the post I saw by someone who said they finally got their last 5,000 shares after putting on pressure for three weeks. If that three week period encompasses the purchase date to when they received their stock that was a normal transfer delivery and would not indicate any shortage of shares. Very confusing but what in this life isn't.
