I dunno. I hate to tout anything, but I bought it (when it went really low) because I love the product. I know I'm not the only one, because everyone I know does Groupon. And when we go out, I make it a point to talk to merchants about Groupon and many of them are really happy with it. We found a Sushi place (just opened) near our house that we just love- it's become our go-to sushi place. We would never have found it so quickly without Groupon. Everyone there the first time we went in, had Groupons (the deal sold out).
Today they had compression leggins for sale- great deal! Sold out quickly(like this morning, as soon as the deal came on).
I am a member of Living Social, Amazon Local, Google offers, Mamasource, and was a member of Gilt city- but the easiest platform, the best deals, and the best service were always to be had at Groupon. Don't even get me started about the problems with Google deals. Geez. Losers. So while it doesn't seem like Groupon has a moat- they sure do as far as I am concerned. They are just awesomely easy to use, and extremely fast when it comes to problems. Recently they rolled out a VIP service- I guess it's for heavy users like myself- and I can return anything I want, no questions asked. It's made me a lot more likely to buy, knowing I can return the item if I can't use it- but hey, usually we use it.
Groupon has really added to our life. We've always had fun- but Groupon has made us downright adventurous. We are constantly taking weekend getaways- to places near us we'd never been. Discovered the wine country of Lodi that way. We bought a limo ride with friends there. Had a blast. Had so much fun we bought a b and b deal. Had even more fun. And I see people everywhere I go Grouponing, from elderly people, to teens and twentysomethings. It's a lifestyle now, I think. |
