Re: Boehner He hates the bills the Dems have run up but he can't stop them. Most are mandatory. So he wants to pay them but he doesn't have the votes to pay for them in the House. What to do? He and the rest of the House leadership figure they can't just not pass the money bills and shut down the Gov, when the the first thing Obama would do is threaten to cut off is payment of SS and medicare. Then, with the help of the media, successfully blame it on him and the Republicans. So what is he to do? I would not want to be in his shoes. He is stuck with the fact that we elected a President who wants to spend and a Congress that won't spend. I suspect that the Left really thinks we are so strong that we can run up any kind of deficit they want and not have to pay for it. The Fed can print money forever with no consequences. The only way to prove them wrong is for us to go over the fiscal cliff. Won't that show them! Ugh.
