Thank you very much for your explanation. I have been reading about Piezo electrics and I have found it facinating. From the little stuff I could find on the subject, it seems that this technology is still not comercially viable (the literature I,ve found dates from 1994 so maybe I am wrong) Nevertheless it seems it could be very useful specially in the microelectronics industry as chips are getting smaller and more complex (hot). What I would like to know is the limitation that today's fans have with today's microchips. I am sure Aavid will continue improving its airmovers, but when will these fans reach their limit?
I also would like to know if Aavid is doing its own research on this matter or plans to aquire a company in the future.
