In Asia at least, the majority of people who buy Android devices want cheap and if possible free. They are unlikely to be doing any online shopping, where you actually have to pay for something. The busiest sites will be where all the pirated apps hang out. That is the Asian mentality, sorry to say. Also, Android devices tend to be much cheaper than Apple's products, so the demographics would suggest that majority of people who buy Android devices are likely to have less disposable income. It's a different neighborhood altogether.

On a related note, I was having lunch with some people the other day and someone whipped out his brand new Galaxy Note II. When he started using the device, I noticed the number of gestures he had to know to get things done. This is no longer swipe and pinch, folks. It's squiggles and wiggles and other odd movements to get the thing working. My first thought: command line for gestures! If things proceed along this trajectory, you'll eventually have to take classes to use your Android smartphone / tablet. God forbid Apple should ever go down this path! That would be the first sell signal, IMHO.
