The problem with a flat tax is that while it is very easy to administer, it is exceedingly regressive. If you have a dollar, it hurts more to give a dime than it hurts to give $10000 when you have $100k. And so on... What are your thoughts about a VAT that excludes store bought food and the first $10000 of other expenses (per person)?
