The text above should enlighten you as to the advantages of high speed networks...
That's so stupid. The text argues that Chattanooga has better BANDWIDTH, not necessarily broader penetration of high-speed networking.

But bandwidth is not the limiting factor for smart power grids. I mean, come on, how much data do you need to transmit the energy usage statistics of one home? Less than that of an average spam e-mail.
