The progressive rate brackets in the current income tax are a minuscule fraction of the complexity in it. It's just not that hard to understand, or compute for that matter.

What I envision is a total elimination of the existing code

No classes of tax on labor vs tax on wealth, all income is viewed the same

You get money, you pay tax...inheritance, wages, royalties, dividends, commissions...same, same

Also no deductions

Clean half page form

You got X, remit some % of X

I think that if you could capture all income, this might be a single digit levy
