Gerald, no one wanted to be able to announce DuPont more than Tom and Bob, since they were asked incessantly about it for months (I know, I was one of the askers!). For any number of reasons (saving face for CSC which is managing the project and has their own factory, hassles w/ DuPont's legal/PR dept., or just timing issues relating to budgeting or determining scope of project), an official release was not able to be made. However, I found DuPont reasonably open in discussing their work w/ Alydaar. If a reporter from the Observer talked to DuPont and verified a contract, he is under no restraints from making it public. I agree it would have been much nicer (and had more impact) coming in the form of a press release, but let's remember the important thing is that they've got the contract.
Onward and upward,
Felt Burner
