Welcome to the tread !!
Appreciate the news, although I've never been too impressed with ML's ultra-conservative outlooks.
<I thought I'd share some good news I read in Merrill Lynch's report from yesterday. They have a long term buy on GTIS with a 12 month price target of $13.>
This would be good news except for the fact that before GT announced the merger, the stock was trading @ 12 5/16. Now according to ML we can expect to wait 12 months before the stock recovers from the MPRS aquisition and returns to the pre-merger announcement price range. Thats not real encouraging news to those shareholders of record prior merger announcement.
I'm looking for a much higher number like $18

<Even if the MRPS deal falls through they are comfortable with 98 estimates.>
With Duke Nukem Forever, Prey, Millenium 4 The Right, Unreal, and possibly Max Payne just for starters, there wasn't much justification for uncertainity with regard to GT's 98 estimates.

<Also, the price that MRPS can walk away is 8 7/32. ML does not believe MRPS wants to though.>
MPRS can't afford to walkaway as GT's offer was "substantially" better than any other offer made for this troubled company.

Deer Hunter's popularity was probably due to: 1) price 2) excellent market timing to arrive in stores just prior to the start of the hunting season. GT understands well the necessity of market timing to achieve proper sell-though of a title.
Cheers
Bill
