Every once in a while I run the "all data" quarterly charts on the major indices.. Been watching the "mother of all H&S patterns" unfold in the DJIA for several years. But primarily I watch them to reference the quarterly Bollinger Bands, as history has show that the indices seldom penetrate above them for very long using that "Tick" frequency. What we're seeing now is an indication that we're nearer to the top of the SPX quarterly BB, than we are to the bottom, which suggests potential bearish action for the next several years. bigcharts.marketwatch.com Note that the quarterly stochastics are rolling over, an ominous sign..
