Ok, so it's not exactly five years old, perhaps a bit more recent. I just ran Belarc on the laptop, and got the following info

It sounds like the processor is 63 bit ready, so maybe that's good. If I use my new Windows 7 Home Premium discs to do a clean install, and enter the laptops registeration key, it should work OK, yes?
