Would like to change the subject for a moment and ask the technically aware
folks here a question related to firewalls and SUN platforms. I own CyberGuard
stock. They recently released a firewall product for Intel-based machines. I
believe they are working a deal with SUN to either displace, or sell alongside
Checkpoint's firewall product on SUN machines. My question - will CyberGuard
need to create a new, UNIX-based product, or can the Intel-based product run on
SUN platforms? Doesn't the SUN machine utilize MIPS RISC processors and as a
result require a UNIS OS, and theirfore a firewall product specifically designed
for a UNIX OS? Would appreciate any/all help. Thanks!!
