I have an old HP laptop with XP and it runs just fine and is adequate for my purposes for it. But, there seems to be something wrong with the battery charging circuitry. It will only partially charge the battery. I thought it was the battery and bought a new on and the same thing happened. I exchanged it and the 3rd battery will only partially charge.

Most of the time I have it on AC with the battery out, but when I need it to be portable it will only run 10-15 minutes.

Is it worthwhile to try to get it fixed, or just buy a new laptop?

Thanks for your ideas and suggestions.

Blessings,

JRH
