The letter, from what I can recall(I forgot to bring it back home with me) didn't mention why LGND wants to expand their trials(only overseas not in the USA-again from memory). I guess the more data they can drop at the feet of the bureaucrats at the FDA the better the chances of getting approval.

I'll try and remember to post some items from the abstract tomorrow.
