Hi mike, just followed your bio and re-discovered this old gpd thread of TSL's - Subject 57873
Forgot about that one, even after posting there ... we don't do stock-specific threads well on SI, for most stocks anyway, stockhouse has somewhat of an edge in that regard, here most of the timely back-and-forth happens on more eclectic traders threads
Interesting report from the gov.yk site there ... it seems so surprising that they can keep leach solution from freezing in winter, but in fact they can ... not much precipitation for the systems to handle there either, that's a plus
Here's the shut-down release for Golden Bear, first heap leach in the country, was in BC but not all that far south of gpd's BC ... Wheaton River the company leveraged the few bucks they made there and went on to greater things, this was 07sep01 - cnrp.ccnmatthews.com
'Wheaton River plans to use its $24 million cash to become one of the consolidators in the junior gold mining industry. "We are going to use that money as a base to grow Wheaton River into a mid-tier gold producer," says Chairman Ian McDonald. "There are quality gold assets for sale all over the world right now, priced at a fraction of their original costs. There has never been a better time to build a gold company." '
And so they did ... and so far, there hasn't been another better time either, but you do have to wonder if one might just stroll along one of these days |
