That is a myth the plutocrats perpetrate to keep from paying higher taxes needed to support a larger welfare state. As long as you remain a democracy totalitarianism is impossible.
Watch the next 20 years. The neo cons/plutocrats got too cocky (Romney flaunted his elitism and was drinking his own cool aid) and they thought they could convince the people that only the welathy could create jobs and save the coutnry, which was pure bullshit.
That the rich deserved special privilages. That they were special and that they should run everything with unregulated capitalism. They showed total disdain for the common person and social science.
So now the people are starting to vote them out of office and take away their privilages. Now, Just like Clinton did, we will reverse the nonsense of the last 30 years of neo con rule, increase taxes, cut defense, vote in universal health care, increase unions and public schools, and pay down the debt.
You don't realize there are people who know how to do that, but they have just not had the power to do so. |
