Alabama Graphite Contracts Top Graphite Lab for Metallurgy

Posted on November 28, 2012 by Jessica Fowler

November 27, 2012 (Source: Marketwire) – Alabama Graphite Corp. (the “Company”) (CNSX:ALP)(FRANKFURT:1AG) (WKN A1J35M) has retained Bumigeme, Inc., one of the most experienced North American engineering firms; in respect to not only the discernment of graphite flake composition from field graphitic rock, but also in determining potential for mill recovery of flake graphite, to undertake a program of analysis, to begin immediately.

Since the 1970's, Bumigeme’s principal, Florent Baril, has fully engaged himself professionally with all phases of graphite mining and production. His initial foray (1974) was to develop the process to treat the graphite from a deposit in Notre-Dame-du-Laus, for Mine Graphex Inc; project manager for the opening of the open pit and the construction of a 300tpd concentrator; participation in the sales contract with Asbury Graphite Mills in Kittanning, Pennsylvania and also the mine manager for a year.

For the last thirty-five years, Mr. Baril and his team have achieved renown in the graphite world, most notably with their involvement in the R&D and production phases at Stratmin Inc. (now Timcal France) in Quebec.

Jean Depatie, Alabama Graphite’s Chairman remarks, “I have known Florent for many years. He is second to none in evaluating graphite rock for economic potential and he and his team can also design an optimally efficient mill to process the fullest of recovery from the large flake graphite.”

Bumigeme personnel will visit the Coosa Graphite Project in December and will elaborate a mineralurgical test program to evaluate flake size distribution and also develop a plan to produce a concentrate with a maximum large flake recovery.
