Jihadists don't find out that 72 virgins will not bring eternal bliss, though it probably seems it will from their unfortunate temporal point of view. Promising it for the after-life is a good strategy. Nobody can warn them that they are on a hiding to nothing. I dare say that even half a dozen could be problematic after a while. Nature has been a very long time winnowing people through the reproductive realm. One should be cautious about coming up with new schemes.
