<<<<what the majority really wants...>>>>>

Well the majority wants a lot of things - until it comes to paying for them. Then they want lots of things and want someone else to pay for it - the rich or the next generation.

Should the rich be taxed more? Of course, but I'm fine with doing that by eliminating deductions including the mortgage deduction and the charity deduction as well as a bunch of other deductions. .........Should the next generation pay for our spending deficit? On some things maybe; for medical research that may give a child born tomorrow a better chance of escaping a disease. But should the next generation pay for an aircraft carrier we buy today or extended unemployment or food stamps? I don't think so. And increasingly more people are making this same conclusion.
